Successful Trip to Beijing from Shanghai Shortly after Lockdown
As always, Monica has helped us with all the travel arrangements, planned our trip and followed up with us during the whole travel. It was challenging coming from Shanghai to Beijing shortly after the massive lockdown so we appreciated this attention a lot. It was too hot, so first day in the Forbidden City was a challenge but Ivy was helping us find as much shade as possible. We also visited Mutianyu Great Wall section, Temple of Heaven, Universal Studios, Summer Palace, Olympic Site and went on Hutong tour. Even though it might seem a lot, our small children managed well and loved everything about this trip. Ivy was very flexible with the length of explanations and rerouting our travel depending on temperate and tiredness. Overall, it was a success and we will for sure travel again with China Highlights. more

Enjoy an old Harbin food tour with a city walk from the less-known Laodaowai Area to Zhongyang Pedestrian Street. You will not only taste delicious local food, but also get to know about history and local life in Harbin a hundred years ago and more during this foodie tour.
Feel the festive atmosphere of the Harbin Ice and Snow Festival by visiting Sun Island Scenic Resort and Ice and Snow World (this is the "new Harbin").
Check in at a local home stay and stay overnight in a room with a traditional kang bed (a brick bed heated by a fire underneath), make dumplings with local people, enjoy interesting snow activities, and have fun in the snow.
Challenge yourself by trekking through the snowy forest from Snow Valley to Yangcao Hill (10 km, 3½ hours) to see the fantastic wintery white scenery. Then go down Yangcao Hill to China Snow Town by a combination of snow mobile and local horse-drawn sledge (5 km, ½ hour).
Enjoy Xueyun ('snow cloud') Avenue, Bangchui Hill Scenic Outlook Wooden Walkways with night views of Snow Town, and watch a local Yangke ('welcome') dance in the evening.
