Lhasa Great Mosque 拉萨清真大寺
The Great Mosque is also called Hebalin Masque and was first built in 1716. The existing temple was rebuilt in 1959. The temple is a three-entrance courtyard, which covers a total area of 2,600 square meters including the constructed area of 1,300 square meters. The major constructions are the prayer hall, Pai building, Bunker building, water house, bath house and other facilities. The prayer hall is located in the west and opposite to the east, which covers an area of 285 square meters. It is consisted by inner hall, open hall and moon platform. The Bunker building is the Xuanli building, which is the major tower building in the temple.
The construction in the temple is the traditional Zang architectural style and combines religious feature and local architectural characteristic.

Lhasa Small Mosque 拉萨小清真寺
The temple was first in 1863. It was recorded that the Lhasa Small Mosque was exclusively built for foreign Muslim people to do prayer.
The Masque is small in scale, covering an area of 130 square meters, but it is unique in design. It is a traditional building of Zang architectural style. The major building is the prayer hall, which is located in the west and opposite to the east. A branch of Hui primary school was set up in the temple in 1952. The temple holds 63 households including 11 foreign households with a total population of 315 people.
